Generator Technician (Minimum 3 Years Required)

Are you a skilled Generator Technician with at least three years of hands-on experience? We’re looking for a motivated and dedicated professional to join our team, where you’ll work with industry-leading generator brands like Kohler, Generac, MTU, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and Caterpillar. What You’ll Do:

  • Troubleshoot & Repair: You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of generator components such as alternators, wiring harnesses, transfer switches, and safety devices, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Preventative Maintenance: You’ll perform regular maintenance checks & load bank testing, ensuring all generator models continue to run smoothly and reliably. This includes everything from engine inspections to handling minor repairs on-site.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your engine expertise in disassembly, failure analysis, performance tests, and more. You’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and repairing complex engine and ATS systems.
  • Work Orders: Accurately and efficiently complete work orders, documenting repairs and maintenance tasks in real-time using our iPad-based system.
  • Customer Interaction: You’ll be interacting with customers, explaining issues clearly, and providing them with the best solutions. You’ll also coordinate with the office team to ensure that customers receive timely updates.
  • Emergency Services: Be ready to respond to emergency service calls, sometimes after hours, providing critical support when customers need it most.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 3 Years of Experience: You must have a proven track record with at least three years of hands-on field experience working on generators.
  • Technical Expertise: You have experience working on a wide variety of generator models and components, and you can handle everything from minor repairs to complex troubleshooting.
  • Problem Solver: You can think on your feet, handle pressure, and get systems back up and running efficiently.
  • Customer-Focused: You have strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Team Player: While you’ll often work independently, you’re also comfortable collaborating with our office and field teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
